Holly and her godmother, Carleen – Autumn 1995

My oldest daughter is turning 16, this year (I know, because she keeps reminding me that her birthday is coming up…in November) and it's amazing that I really can't remember her ever being this small.  Or, the fact that Holly's godmother has also became a mother, moved out of state and that, sadly, we've since lost contact with each other.

Not for the lack of trying, because we really have "not" tried to call, or reconnect with each other, in years.

Until, I logged into my email and found a "friend request" today from Facebook and was all, OMG, you mean to tell me there's another person who knows me, in real life, and STILL wants to be my friend!?!

Because, I also received a request from my son's godmother [waves to Linda] a few weeks ago and still haven't gotten over the fact that she just might think I hate her, too.

  • Welcome to our virtual house tour…

    This Full House The House

This is This Full House (the house) and yes, it really does have 7 rooms (not counting the bathrooms) no, I’m not complaining and YES…privacy is at a premium…feel free to take our virtual tour from 2011 and see for yourself!

So, there’s still time to grab a beverage, make a potty stop or perhaps a quick snack, if you would like.  Okay…ready…GO!!

    TFH VIRTUAL HOUSE TOUR 2011

RECAP:  Dining room, kitchen, living room, laundry/play room, girls’ room, the boy’s room (not shown) and my room (also, not shown) equals 7 rooms (not including bathrooms) and NOT a lot of places for 6 people to hide, really.

But, we love it (sort of!) and, well, it’s our home.

DISCLOSURE:  I am attempting to win the HGTV Dream Home for the Up-teenth time (DANGIT!) not that this will increase my chances of winning, or anything (see previous parenthisis) it’s just that it is sometimes hard for other folks to believe that…YES!…there really are 6 people, living in a 7 room house, which no way even resembles a McMansion aaaaand…YES!…in Jersey 🙂

Thanks for coming, don’t be a stranger and have a GREAT day!!!

  • Clean off a chair and make yourself at home!

Me and Steve Hungary 1966I come from a long line of storytellers.

My twin brother and I grew up listening to many colorful tales of far away places, long lost regrets and “those crazy relatives” from overseas (that’s us, over there, during our first visit to Hungary at age 2) so, blogging came very naturally for me.

I started blogging at This Full House in 2003 (when blogging was still in diapers) to connect with other parents, share stories and perhaps help each other feel a little less disconnected with life, beyond all the dust bunnies and diapers.

I expanded my reach in 2007 to include working with brands in sharing information that perhaps helps make life for larger families (like mine) a little easier.

I have also partnered with brands (Eggland’s Best, K-mart, Kellogg’s, Hallmark, Hershey’s, PBS Kids, Taste of Home Magazine) by providing engaging editorial content to help them connect with REAL families (like mine) both online and IRL.

This Full House is a charter member of the BlogHer Ad Network, listed on Alltop.com and chosen as one of the inaugural Babble’s 50 Best Mommybloggers. I have also submitted articles as a columnist for The Imperfect Parent, Kmart’s PlaydatePlace.com, Together Counts Blog and as a contributing editor at BlogHer.

My kids are all grown (whut?!?!) and they frequently visit this blog to settle an argument about something that happened, and/or to confirm when that something actually happened, and/or if that something actually happened like they remembered it: This Full House is now our family’s timeline.

I am very proud to continue my work in helping to promote our online community I’ve grown to love AND adopt as family.

Because…with 3 out of 4 kids still living in the house…what’s one more, right?!?! Feel free to visit back with us…anytime…we’ll leave the porch light on for yuhs, just in case!
