Not for nothing (Jersey speak translated as: FWIW) it's 5-something in the afternoon (I think) and this is the first time I've sat down, ALL DANGED DAY.
Color me tired.
Aaaaaand, not so much in a, "Look how busy I am," sort of way (aren't we all?) but, more like, "DANGIT, I should weigh at least 30 pounds less!"
I mean, Brooke Burke may be the hottest mother of 4 (DAGNABIT!) today, I got dibs on being the tiredest.
Also, 2 of them woke up sick and I know what you're thinking:
"What, AGAIN?!?"
Yes, but last time it was my middle girl: she didn't have a fever, her throat was fine, no ear ache, stomach pain, nothing and she was STILL all, like, "I am tired!"
So, I kept her home.
Then she slept the next 48 hours and, well, yeah, I guess she WAS really, really tired.
Then, she nearly passed out in Spanish class (because, conjugating verbs can be very, very taxing) still, no symptoms besides, "I am, so, so tired!"
So, I took her to the doctor's office, you know, just in case.
"Vell, Miss-sus Thompson, she's haz an earrrrrr-eeeeeen-fection AND strrrrrrep!"
After I swore to her that there was probably nothing wrong with Heather besides typical teenage girl stuff: dumb meet ass.
Yesterday, my son was up the entire night, barking like a seal and my oldest woke up this morning blowing stuff that shouldn't be coming out of a human being (you're welcome!)
"Where IS my Hazmat suit?!?"
No fainting necessary, I took them to see the doctor (because, I can't seem to get enough of her sexy Croatian accent) and then proceeded to spend the rest of the day exercising some serious retail therapy.
3 prescriptions (jaw meet floor) a plethora of cleaning products and dietary supplements (it's what's for dinner) and enough cranberry juice to fill a small swimming pool, OH BOY!!!
But, absolutely NOTHING that would be considered a viable outlet for relieving one's frustrations and/or stress.
Okay, maybe except this.
Dear Garth (NHRN): I know we shouldn't be spending money on pretty, shiny things that we can't, you know, eat. But, remember yesterday? When you were all worried about me, the kids, the house and everything. Well, the kids are fine, the house is STILL standing [knocking on wood until knuckles bleed] and I should be feeling WAY better, by the end of the week, thanks!!!
