My husband, Garth (not his real name) and I have been helping prepare our two oldest girls (mostly ourselves) for college.

Holly (our 19yo) has been working full-time since graduation and will start taking classes, towards a teaching degree, in the fall, while Heather is beginning her senior year in high school — emotionally, we’re ready; financially, not so much.
Then again, with today’s economy, who is, right?!?
I am very excited to partner with Kellogg’s and their Scare Scholar promotion on Facebook, launched in conjunction with the super-adorable Monsters University movie: the promotion offers folks the chance to win instant prizes each day and culminate in one grand prize drawing for a $10,000 scholarship in August.
Here’s the really fun part: I get the chance to share three (3) pretty fabulous prize packs (each including a $200.00 gift card and movie tickets) right here, with you…yes, maybe even YOU!!!
Because, we roll like that.

The good folks at Kellogg’s have offered to send three (3) of our online friends a Monstrous Giveaway Prize Pack, including:
Three (3) movie tickets to see Monsters’ University (ARV of each: $12) and a $200.00 gift card to help make it a super-awesome family experience 🙂
GET IT HERE: To enter, leave a comment here, like your favorite Monsters character (Mike Wazowski, FTW!) on this post by 10:00 a.m. (EST) on Monday, July 15th and you’re automagically entered to win. Three (3) entries will be picked (via random.org) and announced via email.

In the meantime, if anyone needs me, I’ll be upstairs taking a nap…AS IF!!!

Feel free to check out and/or follow our fan page on Facebook, when you have time (of course!), we’ll leave the porch light on for ya, just in case 🙂
Disclosure: No payment or product or anything, besides the chance to share stuff we like or haven’t broken (YET!) with our online friends, was received for this blog post. While Kellogg’s has provided promotional support in the form of prizes (not tooooo shabby ones, either, IMHO) Kellogg’s is not sponsoring or administering the giveaway on this blog. In other words: it’s ALL me 🙂

Mike Wazowski is definitely my favorite.

I’m sensing a theme here as I like Sully, too!
I love love love Sully! John Goodman’s voice is very comforting to me for some odd reason.
Roz Rocks it! …and she has amazing fashion sense!
You know what is great about going to movies? Popcorn. Because popcorn at the movie theater always tastes better than it does made at home in the microwave. This could have something to do with my inability to cook things in the microwave without burning them….but that has not been scientifically proven.
Mike Wazowski is still my favorite character. I bet he likes popcorn, too. 😉
I was always partial to Boo as my youngest daughter strongly resembled her… Roz and Mike are my faves too!!

So hard to choose! But I’ll go with Mike.
Also, feeling your pain. One off to college in a couple weeks and one is going to be a senior in HS. In fact, off for college visit this weekend. Whaaaaa!
You said favorite Monsters *character*, not specifically a monster, so I’m going old school and saying Boo. 😉 Because honestly, she was SO adorable in the first movie!!
Me again.
You just can’t get rid of me.
Because I love movies. And Mike. And Popcorn. And I’ve decided that both Milk Duds and Twizzlers are needed for a successful movie experience…with a side of Reeses Pieces.
My favorite Monsters character is James P. “Sulley” aka Sully, played by John Goodman! I will always treasure the memory of the little girl and their conversations..”Kitty!” Always followed with, “Boo!” Thank you SO much for an Awesome Giveaway!!!
