Ready for this week’s Eye Candy?
Our family loves the Discovery Channel and we very rarely miss an episode of Dirty Jobs (by we, of course I mean, ME!) with the hunkiest host on television!
Meet Mike Rowe – my friend Kate (a.k.a. Katespot) introduced me to Dirty Jobs (now in its 4th season) the Discovery Channel series that profiles the unsung American laborers who
make their living doing…um…well, the most unthinkably dirty jobs, EVUH!
Having some experience, here are a few of my favorite Dirty Jobs:
Baby Chicken Sexer – Mike learns that, in order to tell the difference between a male and a female, you have to squeeze the poop out of chicks and that there are people who really do this…for a living!
Geoduck Farmer – Pronounced goo-eey duck, they look an awful lot like man parts; you dig deep down to grab one and then you’re supposed to, you know, eat it!
Poo Pot Maker – Just like it says, they make useful pot to put things in!
Before Dirty Jobs, Mike Rowe sang professionally with the Baltimore Opera and, if you’re a parent (like me) then you may (or, may not) recall watching Mike sell all sorts of, well, weird stuff on QVC and finding him curiously entertaining.
Most especially, during those endless late-night feedings!

In my opinion, The Discovery Channel has some of the best-looking shows on television – especially, for us moms – I mean, have you seen the captains on the Deadliest Catch?
Yep, Mike Rowe is one dirty, dirty boy. There’s just no denying it any longer – my husband, Garth (not his real name) is right – I am a Discovery Whore!
My job is done here — go in peace!

We love Mike Rowe here. My youngest son dressed as him for Halloween last year. We won a prize for originality and most people knew exactly who he was.
