I’ve pledged to celebrate Red, White and Blue Fridays and showing my support by spreading the word on ways we (bloggers, like you and me) can say, "Thank you!"
Regardless of the fact that you are a democrat, republican, liberal,
independent, conservative, left wing, right wing, or a giant purple
people-eater – WHATEVER – wouldn’t it be nice if we could ALL
just…you know…come together and NOT be afraid to flaunt our red,
white and blue….yeah…I mean, that’s what the blogosphere is
for…YES?
Today, I’d like to tell you a little about a new campaign and this cool t-shirt I found:

Thankful for Freedom is a new campaign launched February 18, 2008 by
two seniors at The University of Arizona, Nick Stewart and Ryan Brown,
as well as a senior from Oregon State University, Brock Amelle.
And they’re mission is pretty, too:
To raise $5 million for our troops by physically touching one million U.S. Citizens with our campaign awareness t-shirts.
I know, I know – I’m totally contradicting myself, in the 4th Edition of RWBF, when I said:
"To me, "support our troops" is more than just a sound bite on a
t-shirt of bumper sticker!"
But, this time, for every t-shirt that is purchased, $5 of it goes to the following organizations:
You can help them by either buying a t-shirt or linking to their site – you can pick up a linking code for either a text link, banner or button
(pictured above) by visiting their FAQ’s page.
They’re keeping a list of their supporters (i.e., purchased a t-shirt) and hope to reach their goal by the end of 2008!
Good luck boys – I’m looking forward to receiving my t-shirt and will raffle it off on a future edition of Red, White and Blue Fridays!

Now, it’s you’re turn – is there anyone you’d like to pay tribute to?
Not a problem. Enter their name into Mr. Linky (like I did in the
example above) or feel free to link to a blog post of your own with
one simple line:
"Thank you!"
That’s it…oh, and don’t forget to leave a comment (so, I can thank YOU!) and be sure to grab a badge:
The Code:
<a
href="http://www.thisfullhouse.com/this_full_house/red-white-and-blue-friday.html"><img
src="http://www.thisfullhouse.com/badges/rwbf-ribbon.jpg"></a>
It will link back to Red, White and Blue Fridays, enabling other bloggers to join in paying tribute to our soldiers and their families.
Thank you for taking the time to stop by – support our troops, bring them home, treat them right – HOOAH!

Basically, our mission is to recognize and acknowledge members of the U.S. armed forces and their families and, hopefully, bring awareness to the ways in which bloggers can show their support.

The shirt is great. I love that a portion of the proceeds goes to support some wonderful organizations.
And the photo of you and The Girl in the sidebar is so gorgeous. 🙂
